Survey Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Gather data to guarantee successful project completion

• Identify boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, and other elements for ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys

• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and download/file survey information

• Conduct project research as required

• Adhere to directives and work orders from project managers

• Engage in daily communication with the Field Project Manager regarding the progress of the field schedule

• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members

• Ensure project completion is conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and budgets

• Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment and address field issues

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience serving as a Survey Crew Chief

• Comprehensive understanding of surveying principles and practices

• Skilled in utilizing survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors

• Part 107 license is preferred, though not mandatory

• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential

• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, emphasizing high-quality work delivered on time and within budget

• Ability to safely navigate rugged terrain in remote locations

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as at high or precarious locations

• Capacity to transport heavy equipment across different job sites, regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds

• Readiness to travel regionally and nationally on a frequent basis

• Availability to work overtime, including weekends as necessary
