This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer specialized knowledge in radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Assist FAA surveillance initiatives through performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
• Observe, document, and report technical information related to the installation and modernization of FAA radar systems.
• Work in collaboration with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with mission goals.
• Create and submit clear technical and status reports during site surveys, pre-installation, installation, testing, and acceptance stages.
• Inform higher Peraton authorities about significant risks, issues, and opportunities, along with their potential impacts on the schedule.
• Supervise site and vendor technicians.
• Stay updated on equipment installation timelines and ensure adherence to FAA regulations.
• Monitor updated systems post-installation and during acceptance testing.
• Engage with site technicians and vendors to enhance ATC systems through calibrations, alignments, and further testing.
• Support modernized radar systems that deliver superior detection capabilities and enhanced data accuracy.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 8 years of relevant experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 12 years without a degree.
• Possess strong self-starter characteristics.
• Significant hands-on experience in maintaining moderately complex systems such as radars, radios, or networks.
• Ability to implement conflict resolution and deconfliction strategies.
• Capacity to work independently under agile environments with minimal supervision and/or managerial oversight.
• Strong critical thinking skills and adherence to established processes and procedures.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time (anticipated travel is 1 month on-site followed by 2 weeks remote).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in assessing large volumes of relevant data and generating detailed technical reports within tight deadlines.
• Capable of clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Preferred: Knowledge of radar operations, ATC systems and operations, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems.
• Preferred: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products and business applications.
