Surface Helper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Arrive prepared for duty and punctually, conduct yourself in a professional manner, and uphold company standards.

• Adhere to the 10 Life-Saving Rules and site PPE specifications, which include hard hats, high-visibility gear, and cut-resistant gloves.

• Ensure cleanliness at the drill station.

• Complete Take 5s, site inductions, and pre-shift inspections of mobile equipment and tools.

• Operate company vehicles safely in accordance with company policies.

• Understand the importance of guards/barriers, LOTOTO, and Stop Work Authority.

• Locate and utilize SWPs/JSAs/SOPs and Safety Data Sheets.

• Report incidents, near misses, and potential hazards.

• Assist the driller with basic tasks and facilitate communication.

• Return radios and gas monitors at the conclusion of each shift.

• Aid in the recovery and presentation of samples under the supervision of the Driller.

• Execute duties in line with Major Drilling policies, procedures, and practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A safety-first mindset with an awareness of pinch/rotating hazards.

• Clear verbal communication over the radio and a willingness to inquire when needed.

• Capability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and kneeling.

• Ability to work in remote outdoor environments including cold, rain, heat, and dust while using required PPE and respirator as necessary.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Valid, registered driver's license without any major infractions in the last three years.

• Physically fit and able to pass a fit-for-duty assessment.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Preference for outdoor work with the ability to adapt to a nomadic lifestyle.

• Capacity to communicate effectively and work within a small team setting.

• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, either day or night, in various weather conditions for extended periods.

• Ability to complete scheduled 14/7, 20/10, or 28/14 rotations without interruption unless approved by management.

• Mechanical knowledge and skills, with experience in operating and maintaining machinery.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

• Ability to regularly lift 55 lbs.
