This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Formulate and implement regional fuel supply strategies that enhance profitability, ensure supply reliability, and improve customer service.
• Track fuel market fundamentals, trends in supply and demand, pricing fluctuations, and competitive actions.
• Analyze sourcing options and make informed commercial supply decisions.
• Recognize market and arbitrage opportunities along with supply advantages.
• Establish and nurture relationships with refiners, traders, terminal operators, inventory providers, and key supply partners.
• Act as the main commercial liaison for regional suppliers.
• Negotiate, oversee, and ensure adherence to fuel supply agreements.
• Cultivate industry relationships that offer valuable market intelligence.
• Collaborate with Sales and Pricing teams to foster customer growth and enhance competitiveness.
• Create profitable sourcing strategies and deliver market insights and recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of supply strategies with business goals.
• Make daily supply decisions that maximize optionality, profitability, and security of supply.
• Manage inventory positions while evaluating financial and commercial impacts.
• Monitor exposure, basis risk, and market structures.
• Support forecasting, planning, and performance evaluation activities.
• Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to enhance flexibility and operational efficiency.
• Gain expertise in suppliers, terminals, logistics networks, and competitive dynamics within the assigned market.
• Communicate market conditions, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• Provide actionable insights and serve as a subject matter expert within the Land Supply organization.
• Proven experience in fuel supply, refined products, wholesale fuels, energy, commodities, trading, commercial supply, or similar sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of fuel supply networks, market economics, and commercial decision-making processes.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and commercial agreements.
• Proficiency in analyzing market conditions and converting insights into actionable business strategies.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
• Preferred: Background in wholesale fuels, rack supply, refined products, terminal operations, trading, or energy markets.
• Preferred: Familiarity with inventory management, market exposure, basis risk, and supply optimization strategies.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with commercial, sales, pricing, operations, and logistics teams.
• Preferred: Understanding of fuel distribution networks and regional market dynamics.
• Preferred: Proficiency with Excel and Tableau.
• Must be based in the Central U.S. Region.
