
Supply Chain Manager, Procurement β Materials Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take charge of the material requirements plan and planning documentation for raw materials, packaging, and accessories across various co-manufacturers.
β’ Convert demand and production plans into material requirements utilizing BOMs, inventory, MOQs, and supplier lead times.
β’ Oversee material availability, shortages, and production schedules for the next 12+ weeks.
β’ Transform planning signals into timely purchase orders with the correct quantities and delivery schedules.
β’ Balance the need for supply continuity with inventory levels and cash flow considerations.
β’ Identify and address shortages, risks, and trade-offs with planning, production, and suppliers.
β’ Verify open purchase orders, monitor ETAs, and expedite any delayed shipments.
β’ Manage inbound schedules and inform Production & Co-Manufacturing of any changes.
β’ Ensure accuracy in ERP purchasing and inventory records, including POs, item receipts, and matching receipts to invoices.
β’ Resolve discrepancies in receiving, shortages, and quality holds in collaboration with suppliers, freight forwarders, and co-manufacturers.
β’ Handle supplier relationships, including sourcing, qualification, onboarding, negotiations, and capacity planning.
β’ Keep an eye on commodity markets, tariffs, freight trends, and supply market dynamics.
β’ Lead initiatives for cost savings, RFQs, RFPs, competitive bidding, pricing analysis, spend reporting, and supplier performance metrics.
β’ Work in partnership with Demand Planning, Production & Co-Manufacturing, Finance, R&D, and Quality teams.
β’ Facilitate innovation and new product launches through effective material planning and sourcing.
β’ Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory, food safety, and quality standards.
β’ Develop and enhance MRP, shortage reporting, PO tracking, supplier scorecards, KPI tracking, and scalable procurement processes.
β’ Manage procurement and inventory data within NetSuite.
β’ Report directly to the Director of Supply Chain.
β’ 3-5+ years of experience in materials planning, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
β’ Practical experience operating MRP or material planning systems and translating demand and production plans into material requirements and purchase orders.
β’ Demonstrated ability to place purchase orders, track open orders, expedite shipments, and resolve inbound challenges.
β’ Experience in planning materials for external co-manufacturers or contract manufacturers, ensuring materials are available at the plant prior to production.
β’ Strong supplier management and negotiation skills with a proven record of achieving cost savings and operational enhancements.
β’ Familiarity with managing RFQs, contracts, supplier onboarding, and vendor performance.
β’ Experience in supply continuity and supplier risk management.
β’ Solid understanding of business financials and P&L drivers, with the capability to align financial goals with procurement and sourcing strategies.
β’ Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets with a keen attention to data accuracy.
β’ Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement tools; experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
β’ Background in high-growth companies across sectors such as CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, supplements, or other rapidly scaling brands.
β’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
β’ Self-motivated and exceptionally organized in a remote work environment, with effective, proactive written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong collaborator across functions with a commitment to ownership and follow-through.
β’ Nice to have: experience with imported ingredients, freight forwarding, customs, and managing shifting ETAs.
β’ Nice to have: background in powdered food, beverage, or supplement ingredients.
β’ Nice to have: APICS/ASCM CPIM or ISM CPSM certification.
