This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, document, and implement category strategies for transportation, fleet, courier, and associated logistics services.
• Oversee intricate sourcing initiatives from strategy formulation through market evaluation, competitive bidding, supplier assessment, contracting, and execution.
• Discover market innovations, emerging capabilities, suppliers, and solutions that create value.
• Formulate strategies and spearhead contract and pricing negotiations.
• Obtain advantageous terms and conditions while managing risk and ensuring compliance.
• Examine procurement expenditures and recognize, implement, and monitor improvements in cost, service, efficiency, financial aspects, risk, and supply continuity.
• Measure value through cost savings, cost avoidance, and advancements in performance.
• Evaluate spending, cost drivers, market circumstances, supplier capacities, and operational needs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Market Intelligence, Analytics, and subject-matter experts to create business cases and aid sourcing decisions.
• Identify and assess suppliers while establishing performance expectations.
• Define KPIs, service levels, and governance requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, address escalated issues, manage supplier risks, and promote corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Work alongside internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders to comprehend requirements, craft strategies, ensure alignment, and aid implementation.
• Maintain documentation related to categories, sourcing, suppliers, and projects.
• Provide reports on strategies, sourcing activities, supplier performance, risks, financial impacts, and key performance indicators.
• Report directly to the Director of Supply Management.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
• At least 7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is necessary.
• Experience in managing third-party expenditures within a large organization is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with ERP, procurement, sourcing, contract management, and analytics platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Coupa, Power BI, Business Objects, or comparable systems.
• Strong analytical, business, and financial skills.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Capability to develop business cases, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, influence, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple complex initiatives and work independently.
• Professional certifications such as C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, or CPIM are preferred.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
