This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee direct-material and outsourced-service (OSV) commodities throughout tiered aerospace suppliers.
• Formulate and implement commodity strategies on direct, regional, and global scales.
• Negotiate and establish long-term agreements (LTAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and necessary contractual flow-downs.
• Procure capital equipment, facilities services, repairs, MRO tooling, and revert-metal needs.
• Initiate, monitor, and report on cost-reduction strategies across various locations.
• Create should-cost, clean-sheet, PPV, inflation, and surcharge analyses; negotiate price protections, productivity terms, rebates, and cost pass-through agreements.
• Direct supplier transitions, qualification processes, and the execution of global agreements.
• Oversee supplier capacity, lead times, recovery actions, and supply-continuity risks, incorporating dual sourcing, long-lead materials, business-continuity strategies, and geopolitical considerations.
• Develop supplier scorecards; manage performance evaluations, corrective measures, and SBLO reporting for U.S. and UK/EMEA sources.
• Conduct technical and commercial assessments of RFPs, RFQs, and contracts.
• Coordinate cross-site demand and supply evaluations to adapt to demand fluctuations, supplier commitments, expedited needs, and excess or obsolete inventory.
• Enhance inventory accuracy, turnover rates, and carrying-cost efficiency.
• Assist the VP, Global Supply Chain in negotiating, finalizing, and executing strategic contracts.
• Execute other assigned tasks as needed.
• Proficient in utilizing MRP/ERP systems for managing supply, demand, and supplier commitments.
• Experience in aerospace procurement or commodity management, focusing on direct materials and outsourced services.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, benchmarking, cost reduction, and contract management.
• Familiarity with global logistics, customs, duty drawback/tax reclaim, Incoterms, and cross-border trade regulations involving the UK, EU, and U.S., including USMCA where relevant.
• Understanding of UK and U.S. export control regulations, including UK Export Controls, U.S. EAR/ITAR, sanctions, and restricted-party screening.
• Experience in supporting U.S. Small Business Liaison Office (SBLO) obligations, including supplier classification, reporting, and subcontracting plan execution.
• Knowledge of aerospace supplier qualification and performance standards, including AS9100, Nadcap, customer flow-downs, corrective actions, and supplier risk management.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, resolve issues constructively, and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions; proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Familiarity with REACH, UK REACH, RoHS, and other relevant environmental and product compliance regulations.
• Preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, APICS/CPIM, CPSM, CIPS, or similar professional certification.
• Preferred: Experience with Coupa, including supplier onboarding, sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier performance tracking.
• Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Power BI for developing, analyzing, and communicating supplier, spending, savings, risk, and performance metrics.
• Preferred: Experience managing commodity strategies in UK, European, and U.S. aerospace locations.
• Preferred: Proficiency in an additional European language.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or at least ten (10) years of relevant industry experience.
• Travel requirements may range from 15–25%.
