This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee direct materials and outsourced service (OSV) commodities across tiered aerospace suppliers.

• Create and implement commodity strategies at direct, regional, and global levels.

• Negotiate and establish long-term agreements (LTAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and necessary contractual flow-downs.

• Source capital equipment, facility services, repairs, MRO tooling, and revert-metal needs.

• Drive, monitor, and report on cost-reduction initiatives across various sites.

• Develop analyses such as should-cost, clean-sheet, PPV, inflation, and surcharge; negotiate price protections, productivity, rebates, and cost pass-through terms.

• Lead supplier transitions, qualification processes, and global agreement implementations.

• Manage supplier capacity, lead times, recovery actions, and risks to supply continuity, including dual sourcing, long-lead materials, business continuity plans, and geopolitical exposure.

• Create supplier scorecards; lead performance evaluations, corrective actions, and SBLO reporting for U.S. and UK/EMEA sources.

• Oversee technical and commercial evaluations of RFPs, RFQs, and contracts.

• Conduct cross-site demand and supply reviews to manage demand fluctuations, supplier commitments, expedites, and excess or obsolete inventory.

• Enhance inventory accuracy, turnover, and carrying-cost performance.

• Assist the VP of Global Supply Chain in negotiating, finalizing, and implementing strategic contracts.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems to manage supply, demand, and supplier commitments.

• Experience in aerospace procurement or commodity management, encompassing direct materials and outsourced services.

• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, benchmarking, cost reduction, and contract management.

• Knowledgeable in global logistics, customs, duty drawback/tax reclaim, Incoterms, and UK–EU–U.S. cross-border trade requirements, including USMCA where applicable.

• Familiarity with UK and U.S. export control regulations, including UK Export Controls, U.S. EAR/ITAR, sanctions, and restricted-party screening.

• Experience in supporting U.S. Small Business Liaison Office (SBLO) requirements, including supplier classification, reporting, and subcontracting plan performance.

• Understanding of aerospace supplier qualification and performance standards, including AS9100, Nadcap, customer flow-downs, corrective action, and supplier risk management.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional projects, resolve issues constructively, and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions; proficient in Word and PowerPoint.

• Preferred: Knowledge of REACH, UK REACH, RoHS, and other relevant environmental and product-compliance standards.

• Preferred: Professional certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, APICS/CPIM, CPSM, CIPS, or similar.

• Preferred: Experience with Coupa, including supplier onboarding, sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier performance reporting.

• Preferred: Advanced experience with Power BI for developing, analyzing, and communicating supplier, spend, savings, risk, and performance metrics.

• Preferred: Experience managing commodity strategies across UK, European, and U.S. aerospace sites.

• Preferred: Proficiency in an additional European language.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience.
