This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the planning, sourcing, and delivery of engineered equipment for significant capital projects.
• Take ownership of the complete equipment supply strategy and execution, from market engagement and supplier selection through to contract management, fabrication follow-up, logistics, and site delivery.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of equipment buyers and supply specialists.
• Create equipment supply strategies, sourcing channels, supplier footprints, and multi-year category roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to determine equipment demand, critical-path items, and long-lead strategies.
• Identify and evaluate strategic suppliers based on technical, quality, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid strategies, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts, changes, claims, disputes, performance, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate delivery dates with Project Controls, Construction, project milestones, and site readiness.
• Supervise expediting, logistics planning, and delivery sequencing for essential equipment.
• Address equipment nonconformances, field issues, and warranty claims in collaboration with Quality and Engineering.
• Provide status updates and identify risks to program leadership and stakeholders.
• Recognize and mitigate supply risks, ensure compliance with procurement, export control, and quality standards, and maintain documentation and audit trails.
• Ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, supplier quality, risk management, team performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP, CSCP) are advantageous.
• Typically, 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, project management, or procurement.
• Substantial experience in managing engineered equipment or capital equipment packages for large projects (e.g., energy, industrial, nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace).
• At least 3+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
• Proven track record in managing high-value, complex supplier relationships and contracts.
• Strong comprehension of engineered equipment, fabrication processes, and technical documentation.
• Advanced skills in commercial negotiation and contract management.
• Solid project management capabilities, including schedule integration and risk management.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient with ERP and procurement systems, along with strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Comfortable operating in highly regulated, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.
• Capability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
• Travel required 0-10%.
