This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Assume complete responsibility for stock and inventory reconciliations across various systems, warehouses, and sales channels.
• Reconcile physical stock levels with system data and investigate discrepancies until resolved.
• Align Amazon inventory and stock movements with internal system records.
• Review Amazon ledger reports, stock adjustments, and movement reports to pinpoint missing or erroneous transactions.
• Investigate stock variances and provide explanations along with corrective actions.
• Monitor stock movements between warehouses and ensure precise accounting during transfers.
• Analyze inventory at the SKU level to detect discrepancies, risks, excess stock, shortages, and unusual movements.
• Assist in inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities.
• Oversee inbound stock, shipments, warehouse movements, and stock availability.
• Gather information from finance, supply chain, warehouse, and operational teams for accurate reconciliations.
• Generate stock and inventory reports for management.
• Structure and analyze large datasets.
• Identify issues within stock data and explore root causes.
• Aid in month-end inventory reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, supply chain, procurement, warehouse, and operational stakeholders.
• Enhance inventory controls, reporting processes, and stock management procedures.
• Extensive professional experience in inventory management, supply chain, stock control, replenishment, inventory planning, or stock accounting.
• Previous experience in an Amazon, e-commerce, DTC, retail, or end-consumer product business is highly preferred.
• A practical understanding of Amazon inventory/FBA environments would be a significant advantage.
• Proven experience in conducting detailed stock reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Strong knowledge of stock movements, warehouse transfers, and inventory controls.
• Experience managing large SKU portfolios and high-volume inventory data.
• Solid supply chain and stock management expertise.
• Some familiarity with the financial/accounting aspects of inventory, including stock valuation, adjustments, or month-end reconciliations, is beneficial.
• Advanced Excel skills with the capability to retrieve, reconcile, analyze, and organize large volumes of data.
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, or marketplace systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
