Supply Chain Manager

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the complete external supply chain for Amgen’s new product offerings.

• Lead supply planning, material readiness, and the delivery of pre-clinical, clinical, and PPQ products produced at contract manufacturing organizations.

• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Product Teams, Amgen Contract Manufacturing, CMOs, and cross-functional teams to create and execute supply chain strategies.

• Convert program demand and manufacturing needs into actionable supply plans.

• Evaluate supply limitations and risks while coordinating mitigation strategies.

• Ensure the correct quantity of product reaches the appropriate location on time, all while optimizing inventory and cost efficiency.

• Facilitate site-level adoption of integrated business processes, including Plan-to-Stock, Order-to-Cash, and CMO handoff processes.

• Create actionable supply plans and perform capacity and inventory scenario analyses.

• Evaluate CMO supply chain readiness, capabilities, manufacturing capacity, lead times, raw material needs, and constraints.

• Supervise site-level supply chain operations and financial transactions, including inventory, orders, invoices, and material movements.

• Establish and maintain master data in SAP and RapidResponse, ensuring accurate system transactions.

• Implement and uphold operating standards for technology transfer and new product introductions.

• Develop and present analyses, recommendations, and presentations to cross-functional and leadership groups.

• Act as the Supply Chain representative in change controls, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with planning teams and CMOs to translate demand into production schedules.

• Plan and distribute supply across various stages including raw materials, intermediates, drug substance, drug product, and finished drug products.

• Monitor production timelines and address any risks to schedule adherence and supply consistency.

• Manage strategies for raw material orders, purchase orders, invoices, shipments, and storage planning.

• Coordinate shipment readiness, logistics, storage preparedness, GMP shipping routes, and import/export documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate Degree OR Master's Degree with 2 years of experience in Engineering, Business Management, or Life Science OR Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in Engineering, Business Management, or Life Science OR Associates Degree with 8 years of experience in Engineering, Business Management, or Life Science OR High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in Engineering, Business Management, or Life Science.

• Proven experience in a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or supply chain setting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in supply planning, capacity or inventory analysis, and risk management.

• Ability to manage intricate cross-functional deliverables and influence results within a matrix organization.

• Experience collaborating with CMOs, suppliers, or other external partners.

• Familiarity with SAP and RapidResponse or similar ERP and advanced planning systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation capabilities.

• Ability to formulate and convey recommendations to cross-functional and leadership groups.

• Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools, methodologies, and change management strategies.
