This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Transform demand forecasts, available production hours, manufacturing capabilities, line limitations, and production needs into a cohesive supply and capacity strategy.
• Create and maintain capacity plans by manufacturing work group, production line, and other pertinent manufacturing constraints.
• Detect and address capacity and supply discrepancies.
• Formulate scenarios and recommendations to mitigate capacity issues.
• Collaborate with Production Planning to decide what to produce, when to produce, and in what quantities.
• Ensure ongoing visibility into capacity requirements and communicate emerging constraints to Operations and leadership.
• Manage inventory planning across raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Set and uphold minimum and maximum inventory targets at the SKU level.
• Create and oversee weekly, monthly, and annual inventory plans.
• Identify risks associated with shortages, excess, aging, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory.
• Develop strategies to decrease inventory while safeguarding customer service and manufacturing needs.
• Manage inventory working capital effectively.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Production Planning, and Operations to enhance inventory accuracy and adherence to inventory plans.
• Align production schedules with inventory needs, customer service goals, available capacity, and efficient production runs.
• Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership with insights into inventory risks, capacity constraints, and supply-demand mismatches.
• Oversee the weekly, monthly, and annual Supply, Capacity & Inventory Planning cycle.
• Establish planning processes, operational rhythms, KPIs, and accountability structures.
• Lead regular planning reviews.
• Develop what-if scenarios.
• Continuously enhance planning processes, systems, data quality, and analytical capabilities.
• Maintain planning assumptions, constraints, and inventory targets in planning and ERP systems.
• Utilize and refine supply and inventory planning models.
• Convert model outputs into actionable supply and inventory decisions.
• Over 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, supply planning, inventory planning, or manufacturing planning.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity constraints.
• Proven experience in inventory planning and working-capital management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to translate complex demand, capacity, and inventory data into straightforward, actionable decisions.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP and/or planning systems.
• Experience with S&OP/IBP processes is preferred.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and promote accountability among cross-functional partners.
