This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +6 more countries.
• Report directly to the Global Supply Chain Manager.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of approximately 10 professionals.
• Ensure that suppliers and partners consistently deliver sustainable materials and services that meet technical, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to create standardized supply base management and quality training materials.
• Drive the implementation and adherence to supplier qualification processes, ensuring that active suppliers maintain their qualifications and compliance.
• Provide regular updates on quality and compliance status to Supply Chain Management leadership.
• Ensure that corporate quality processes are comprehended and executed throughout the organization.
• Act as the “Voice of Supplier,” communicating strategic supplier perspectives and constraints to internal functions.
• Coordinate with R&D, Engineering, Project Management, and SCM leadership on critical product qualifications.
• Support Supplier Quality Engineers during the planning and execution of product qualifications.
• Assess supplier PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Oversee the resolution of supplier Non-Conformances and drive supplier process improvements.
• Co-define supplier quality KPIs alongside global SCM and ensure performance reporting.
• Define risk-based supplier site inspections and integrate requirements into QCPs or ITPs.
• A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Operations.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or team management position within a matrixed, large-scale organizational framework.
• Certified Lead Auditor (ISO9001 or similar).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Expert-level proficiency in structured methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and Six Sigma DMAIC.
• Mastery of APQP/PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA (Gage R&R), and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Ability to guide, mentor, motivate, and balance the workloads of geographically dispersed and multicultural Supplier Quality Engineers across various time zones.
• Exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to synthesize complex technical data into impactful reports and presentations.
• Capability to foster collaborative relationships with internal engineering, global category management, and project quality teams.
• Some travel is required occasionally.
