This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolution of issues related to patient access for J&J Immunology therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of time on-site with healthcare providers to evaluate their educational needs.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding product coverage, prior authorizations and appeals, reimbursement procedures, claims submissions, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Address significant patient access and affordability challenges.
• Conduct field-based support for reimbursement and access, including education and creative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers within assigned Immunology accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Keep up-to-date with market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Gain insight into hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Work alongside internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete all mandated training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement in hospital and/or provider office environments.
• Proven expertise in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to address challenging access scenarios and identify prompt, effective solutions.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Willingness to maintain up to 50% travel consistently.
• Permanent residence within the assigned territory.
• Experience with immunology disease states is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of payer policy and reimbursement is preferred.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Commitment to learning new technologies, such as AI.
