Supplier Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Operate autonomously from a remote setting while also traveling to supplier locations to verify that capability and capacity standards are fulfilled.

• Collaborate with suppliers to oversee and facilitate the enhancement plans for capacity and capability that align with the RAIL agenda.

• Formulate recovery strategies for suppliers aimed at improving Supplier scores and minimizing Supplier Quality Corrective actions.

• Create and enforce quality control protocols and procedures to guarantee adherence to industry benchmarks and customer specifications.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of operations, manufacturing processes, and materials to pinpoint constraints faced by suppliers in production.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to resolve quality challenges and implement necessary corrective measures.

• Examine data and produce reports to monitor quality performance and highlight opportunities for enhancement.

• Anticipate traveling around 50% of the time to customer locations and suppliers (with 90% travel expected as outlined in the role description).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in conducting assessments and audits within the aerospace, automotive, or related sectors.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline.

• Proficient understanding of quality control concepts, methodologies, and tools.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.

• Familiarity with supplier operations and assessments related to supplier development.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• US Citizenship is a requirement.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary.
