This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.
• Create and implement a unified external supplier capacity development strategy across the ELDS MV Switchgear Business Line factories.
• Identify, prioritize, evaluate, and enhance critical external suppliers to expand capacity and fulfill mid- and long-term material requirements.
• Develop and standardize methodologies for supplier identification, prioritization, assessment, and development.
• Lead the prioritization of suppliers using risk profiles and alternative sourcing options.
• Design supplier assessment and development tools, such as self-assessment surveys and on-site audit playbooks.
• Coordinate the rollout of methodologies across factories, ensuring uniform implementation and knowledge sharing.
• Assist factory teams in evaluating supplier readiness and formulating milestone-based supplier development roadmaps.
• Facilitate cross-factory collaboration and engage with global suppliers.
• Create KPIs and compile findings along with supplier development roadmaps.
• Monitor the implementation of roadmaps and verify supplier readiness for capacity expansion.
• Communicate and coordinate with factories, procurement, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Identify, escalate, and mitigate critical supplier capacity risks affecting the entire business line.
• Develop and sustain training materials and guidance documentation.
• Promote continuous enhancement of capacity evaluation methodologies.
• Organize cross-functional working groups and project teams.
• Cultivate relationships with external suppliers and support providers/auditors.
• Provide regular reports, progress reviews, coaching, and alignment with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to ABB values, the code of conduct, HSE requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Over 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of supplier dynamics, sourcing strategies, and capacity risk evaluation.
• Experience in a complex multinational environment.
• Proven experience leading multi-country projects in a global or regional capacity.
• Previous experience in the energy sector.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets, establish KPIs, and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
• Background in process development and standardization, including designing and implementing methodologies, tools, and frameworks across multiple sites or organizations.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Capability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and achieve results in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Experience in quality and compliance management.
• Familiarity with audit processes, supplier assessment tools, and regulatory standards.
• Background in operations and capacity planning.
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing environments and assessing and enhancing supplier production capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across various geographies and functions.
• Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
