Supplier Capacity Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a standardized external supplier capacity development strategy across ELDS MV Switchgear Business Line factories.

• Identify, prioritize, evaluate, and enhance critical external suppliers to expand capacity and fulfill mid to long-term external material requirements.

• Spearhead the development of business line-wide methodologies, assist with in-factory execution, and coordinate efforts across factories.

• Design and sustain supplier assessment and development methodologies, which include self-assessment surveys and on-site audit playbooks.

• Manage the rollout across factories, ensuring uniform implementation, knowledge exchange, and dissemination of best practices.

• Aid factory teams in evaluating supplier readiness and formulating milestone-based supplier development roadmaps.

• Facilitate cross-factory coordination and engagement with global suppliers.

• Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to aggregate findings, monitor roadmap advancement, and validate supplier preparedness for capacity increase.

• Communicate and coordinate with factories, procurement, supply chain, and quality teams.

• Recognize, escalate, and address critical supplier capacity risks across the business line.

• Create and update training materials and guidance documentation.

• Promote continuous enhancement of the capacity evaluation methodology.

• Organize cross-functional working groups and project teams.

• Mentor factory teams and stakeholders on capacity evaluation methodologies and best practices.

• Oversee external support providers and auditors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a comprehensive understanding of supplier dynamics, sourcing strategies, and capacity risk evaluation.

• Demonstrated experience in a complex multinational setting, managing multi-country projects in a global or regional capacity.

• Previous involvement in the energy sector.

• Proven expertise in data analysis and reporting, including the interpretation of complex datasets, development of KPIs, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• Established track record in process development and standardization, including the design and implementation of methodologies, tools, and frameworks across various sites or organizations.

• Proven history in project management and cross-functional collaboration, simultaneously handling multiple workstreams in a complex, matrixed environment.

• Experience in quality and compliance management, including knowledge of audit processes, supplier assessment tools, and regulatory standards.

• Background in operations and capacity planning, with practical knowledge of manufacturing environments and supplier production capabilities.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities across diverse geographies and functions.

• Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
