This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the billing, collections, and cash posting functions within the revenue cycle.
• Offer daily guidance and support to achieve OCHIN's financial health key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to formulate strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Work alongside cross-functional departments to optimize collection potential.
• Supervise and mentor both on-site and off-site staff members.
• Provide effective oversight of staff and client revenue-cycle operations.
• Investigate and resolve process and workflow challenges in partnership with client representatives.
• Coordinate multiple interrelated projects to align with organizational goals.
• Establish rapport and sustain communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver accounts receivable services to member clients to maximize reimbursement opportunities.
• Lead a team of billers and manage revenue cycle operations for OBS clients.
• Oversee daily billing activities, ensuring timely and accurate professional billing.
• Ensure adherence to departmental protocols, as well as federal and state regulations, and payer requirements.
• Meet critical deadlines, including end-of-month closing processes.
• Address claim and technical issues to enhance revenue collection.
• Monitor national payer bulletins and communicate workflow impacts to clients, teams, and technical analysts.
• Interact with customers to resolve transaction-related issues.
• Recruit, develop, motivate, coach, and train staff effectively.
• Oversee personnel, systems, and client-related matters.
• Perform quality reviews based on established metrics.
• Guide staff in problem-solving, communication, conflict resolution, and career development.
• Conduct challenging conversations utilizing emotional intelligence.
• Travel for on-site Go Live support as necessary.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis at the time of application.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare or healthcare IT is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in PB/revenue cycle billing/coding is necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a remote setting is required.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A bachelor’s or associate degree in business or a related field is highly preferred.
• Previous experience with FQHC/RHC is preferred.
• Coding experience or a CPC certification is advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Experience utilizing payor portals is required.
• Proficiency with Acute Care EHR software, specifically EPIC and PB, is essential.
• Substantial experience in managing the revenue cycle for physician offices or medical practices is needed.
• Familiarity with coding, charge capture, time of service collections, insurance eligibility and benefits verification, claims submission, and accounts receivable management is required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS Coding Systems is necessary.
• Familiarity with CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms is essential.
• A solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, state laws, HIPAA, and healthcare billing and collections regulations is required.
• Strong research, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Extensive analytical abilities are necessary.
• Capability to communicate decisions, procedures, and processes to a diverse audience is important.
• Creativity and adaptability to change are essential traits.
• Initiative, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic are required.
• Proven experience in creating, analyzing, and interpreting complex reports is needed.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and self-sufficiency in problem-solving is crucial.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime is required.
• Proficiency with MS Suites and Visio is necessary.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Excel are required.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications is important.
• Knowledge of Medicare Billing Systems (DDE, Ability Ease) is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, listening, and business writing skills are required.
• Willingness to travel as needed is essential.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office is necessary.
