This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Professional Coding Team

• Guarantee the precise and timely coding of records for compliant billing and accurate reimbursement

• Direct coding operations utilizing ICD-10, HCPCs, and CPT codes

• Track departmental quality, efficiency, and production metrics

• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Leaders and teams, particularly Patient Accounts and Professional Billing, to address denials and patient issues

• Assist in updating team software and resources, including Epic work queues, Claims Manager, and coding knowledge resources

• Provide education to employees on documentation and clinical coding guidelines as well as written standards

• Stay informed about current coding rules and guidelines, offering guidance on CMS and payer requirements

• Organize and conduct training for team members

• Engage in interviewing, employee selection, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, resolution of employee concerns, and engagement initiatives

• Execute people-management tasks, encompassing engagement, recruitment, performance management, and development

• Foster a safe and positive workplace


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, such as a Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), is mandatory

• Minimum of 2 years of coding leadership experience reflecting progressive responsibilities is required

• Recent experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCs coding is essential

• Coding certifications specific to outpatient professional coding are required

• In-depth knowledge of medical coding and reimbursement topics

• Experience with electronic medical records is necessary

• Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism

• Proven leadership, organizational, and conflict resolution abilities

• Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting

• Strong attention to detail

• Dedication to ongoing quality improvement

• Compliance with Children's Organizational Code of Ethics and relevant policies, regulations, and laws
