This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver daily support, guidance, and training to both new hires and current Patient Access personnel.
• Aid in the management of escalated concerns.
• Contribute to both short-term and long-term planning suggestions for areas within the Registration Process, including Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department, and clinics.
• Uphold a positive customer service environment and assist staff in resolving issues.
• Implement departmental policies, practices, procedures, and work regulations.
• Collaborate in the development and execution of new policies in accordance with hospital and corporate standards.
• Monitor daily activities and generate performance and metric reports, including financial clearance reports.
• Undertake special projects and reporting as assigned.
• Execute all Patient Access functions as necessary.
• Participate as a member of the management team to ensure that operational objectives are achieved.
• Conduct interviews, hire, train, plan, assign, and oversee work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve issues.
• Supervise direct reports in Rep, PA I-IV roles.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems within Health Care Information Systems.
• Clear understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and Regulatory Agencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• Ability to convey and comprehend detailed information through both oral and written communication.
• Availability to work hours and days as required by departmental/system needs.
• Must be available for "on-call" duties as necessary.
• Must secure and provide verification of required vaccinations and screenings before employment, as applicable and permitted by law.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in Patient Access is preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
• A 2 or 4-year college degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be capable of working in a seated position.
• Management-level positions may qualify for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
