Supervisor, Mobile Inspections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Direct and oversee a team of 10 to 15+ Mobile Inspectors within a designated geographic area.

• Maintain inspection quality and operational efficiency while ensuring accountability and excellence in operations.

• Facilitate mobile inspections, new vehicle inspections, and floorplan audits in the assigned region.

• Guarantee that inspections and floorplan audits meet set quality, productivity, and safety goals.

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and provide ongoing support for Mobile Inspectors.

• Manage team performance utilizing Lean Daily Management, remote and on-site audits, and continuous improvement strategies.

• Establish and nurture relationships with auctions, sales, remote dealer services, and other key partners.

• Collaborate with Dispatch and Quality Assurance teams.

• Ensure compliance with inspection processes and required disclosures and photographs in the inspection application.

• Evaluate inspection quality through digital and physical audits and arbitration assessments.

• Offer coaching, corrective actions, and disciplinary measures as necessary.

• Coordinate with Sales, Auction, and Remote Dealer Services teams to fulfill client expectations.

• Address issues and concerns raised by automotive dealers and commercial clients.

• Provide or facilitate skill-based and inspection-focused training as needed.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and floorplan audits when required.

• Analyze work volumes, staffing levels, KPIs, and Lean Daily Management metrics.

• Execute tactical plans under the guidance of the Mobile Inspections Manager.

• Mentor, develop, and empower team members, fostering a cohesive team environment.

• Acquire, distribute, and monitor company equipment.

• Model and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations for direct reports.

• Enforce company policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field.

• At least one year of experience in team leadership is preferred.

• Capability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.

• Experience in mobile inspections and/or floorplan audits is preferred.

• Previous experience in a body shop, mechanical, or estimating role is preferred.

• General understanding of frame and body repairs along with mechanical knowledge.

• Proficiency in technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, scheduling and routing software, and vehicle inspection applications.

• Proven business acumen and analytical abilities.

• Self-driven with the ability to motivate team members.

• Exceptional organizational, customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented skills.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve issues effectively.

• Capability to work under remote supervision and manage remote team members.

• Proficient in close, distance, and depth perception.

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, squat, or kneel; lift and carry at least 10 lbs at waist height for prolonged durations; lift up to 30 lbs.

• Comfortable working around moderate noise, fumes, and odors.

• Regular exposure to outdoor environmental conditions.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the region.

• Physical capability and mental sharpness to fulfill duties within required timeframes.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
