This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the coordination of rebar detailing and manage project tasks for rebar fabrication assignments.
• Manage the workload and provide training for the rebar detailing team.
• Confirm that drawings adhere to engineering specifications.
• Supervise customer projects, address performance concerns, and develop work schedules.
• Instruct entry-level Detailers in both manual and computer-assisted structural rebar detailing techniques.
• Produce precise placement drawings for submission and for field reinforcing placement.
• Liaise with customers and the Fabrication Manager to discuss scheduling expectations.
• Resolve any ambiguous or missing reinforcing requirements with customers and/or Designers.
• Collect project details from clients and coordinate work with the rebar shop.
• Evaluate plans and define how rebar should be bent, cut, and sized.
• Lead a team of support staff, craft personnel, or junior professional associates.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Less than 5% overnight travel required.
• Typically requires a BS/BA degree in a relevant field.
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in a related area.
• Certification may be necessary.
• Preferred: 10 years of detailing experience.
• Preferred: Experience in rebar detailing.
