This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of a team tasked with following up on medical claim denials and underpayments.

• Manage the support activities related to claim denials.

• Maintain the denial management system, including workflows and analysis reporting.

• Gather and analyze denial patterns to understand causes and their financial implications.

• Identify trends to minimize future revenue loss.

• Collaborate with various departments on trend analysis and opportunities for process improvements.

• Supervise team members and manage their performance through constructive feedback and recommendations.

• Implement innovative processes with insurance payers, Revenue Cycle leadership, and department managers.

• Conduct performance evaluations, handle disciplinary actions, and participate in recruitment interviews.

• Analyze reports and utilize software to track, trend, and identify the root causes of denials.

• Coordinate interdepartmental efforts to align with strategic goals and expectations.

• Develop and oversee structured workflows.

• Coach and mentor team members, serving as the primary escalation point.

• Prepare reports on operational progress and status updates.

• Build relationships with patients, hospital departments, and external stakeholders.

• Organize meetings and in-service training with payer representatives and vendors.

• Create reports, policies, procedures, and training materials.

• Ensure adherence to state and federal billing regulations.

• Review final documentation for write-offs and include language to prevent avoidable write-offs.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Patient Accounting and Denial Management is required.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% required.

• Understanding of state and federal billing regulations.
