Supervisor, Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct the daily operations of a team of Claim Analysts

• Empower the team to fulfill client and corporate obligations

• Meet expectations for quality, production, and service within the team

• Foster staff development

• Effectively onboard new clients into the Unit

• Maintain relationships with existing clients

• Address complex or challenging claim inquiries

• Collaborate with the department manager to achieve departmental objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED

• 3 to 5 years of experience in claim processing

• Self-motivated individual who operates well with minimal supervision

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Capability to interact effectively with employees, members, providers, clients, and various levels of colleagues including Client Managers and all staff levels

• Proficient in utilizing common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in oral, written, or diagrammatic form

• Skilled in addressing problems across diverse situations and finding resolutions

• Competent in reading, analyzing, and interpreting documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs)

• Adaptable; receptive to ongoing process improvements

• Able to learn new or proprietary systems, adjust to different system platforms, and proficiently use MS Excel and Word

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree

• Preferred: Prior supervisory or management experience

• Preferred: Experience in Self-Funded Insurance/Benefits and/or TPA
