Supervisor – Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Ensure that all construction activities adhere to specifications and applicable standards.

• Take charge of the quality of the work being supervised.

• Confirm that construction activities comply with specifications, standards, and the Code of Practice.

• Verify that Hold and Witness Point actions are fulfilled prior to the commencement of work.

• Ensure that workers receive project-specific inductions that address hazards and control measures.

• Maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards unsafe work practices or equipment that pose serious safety or environmental risks.

• Prioritize the completion of outstanding defects by the project team.

• Document any non-conformances and initiate corrective actions.

• Provide leadership to subcontractors and oversee their performance.

• Ensure that quality and workmanship standards are upheld.

• Foster a commitment to quality throughout the project team.

• Ensure adherence to ACEREZ D&C management system procedures.

• Complete or verify Plant Operator Assessments along with Daily and Weekly Checklists.

• Collaborate with permits as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally, possess over 5 years of experience as a supervisor on civil projects, including foundations, piling, and bulk earthworks.

• Preferably have experience in constructing outdoor air insulated substations and substations rated at 220kV or higher.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Understanding of specifications and technical drawings.

• Experience in managing subcontractors to ensure adherence to specifications and procedures.

• Demonstrated leadership skills relevant to the role.

• Ability to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements.

• Competency in planning and organizing work schedules.

• Familiarity with HS&E requirements and their implementation.

• Self-assuredness with the ability to persuade, convince, or impress others to ensure commitment and cooperation.

• Capability to multitask while exercising sound judgment, including managing competing priorities.

• Ability to provide clear directions to construction personnel.

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

• Willingness to work on a roster-based schedule out of the Central West Orana Region.
