
Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Services – Hospital Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable team, which includes inventory oversight and staff training.
• Coordinate and monitor follow-up tasks to ensure fair work distribution, prompt account follow-ups, and achievement of collection targets.
• Conduct weekly quality assurance evaluations of the team's performance.
• Analyze staff productivity reports on a weekly basis.
• Provide weekly updates on staff productivity to the AR Analyst.
• Assist with and address inquiries from both external and internal clients.
• Prepare and maintain necessary reports or logs.
• Stay updated on healthcare-related issues and regulations.
• Identify problems and collaborate with the manager and director to find solutions.
• Offer training, oversight, feedback, and necessary disciplinary actions.
• Monitor attendance and PTO usage of the team.
• Ensure that remote client access is promptly disabled for employees who are terminated or transferred, as applicable.
• Verify that direct reports are adequately trained and compliant with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Limit access to PHI to the minimum necessary for carrying out assigned responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital business office or a comparable environment.
• Familiarity with Hospital/Facility billing and Home Infusion billing.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting.
• Must be dependable, accountable, goal-oriented, and adaptable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and effective communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions based on accurate and timely information.
• High degree of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and focus on results.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must have a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.
• Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively with others, and manage stressful situations.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, which include sitting, moving around the work area, performing manual tasks, operating office equipment, extending arms, kneeling, talking, and hearing.
• Must understand and adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Required to use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information only in line with HIPAA standards.
