Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Accounts Receivable process, which includes invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and collections.

• Analyze and process customer billing in accordance with contractual agreements and company policies.

• Track aging schedules, follow up on overdue balances, and escalate collection issues as necessary.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including AR reconciliations and reporting tasks.

• Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits and compliance obligations.

• Collaborate closely with U.S.-based accounting and finance teams to ensure consistency and timely reporting.

• Identify and implement enhancements to AR processes, tools, and controls to boost efficiency and accuracy.

• Support additional general accounting responsibilities, such as general ledger tasks, journal entries, and accruals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 4–6 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable.

• Previous experience with U.S.-based companies and knowledge of U.S. GAAP is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and AR reporting.

• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical capabilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different time zones.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote setup.

• Core working hours: 6 pm–3 am (IST) or 5 pm–2 am (IST), Monday to Friday.
