This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and meticulously document transactions.
• Supervise and manage a high-volume shared finance inbox.
• Act on or redirect customer inquiries to the relevant team.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and investigate any discrepancies.
• Prepare and send out monthly statements to customers.
• Reconcile supplier invoices with purchase orders.
• Investigate discrepancies related to pricing, freight, or quantities.
• Batch supplier payments for approval and processing.
• Maintain professional relationships with both customers and suppliers.
• Utilize Xero and Simpro for transaction reconciliation and to support daily finance operations.
• Assist with invoicing through portals for government, strata, and commercial clients.
• Learn and implement finance automation tools to enhance efficiency.
• Escalate any unusual transactions, risks, or discrepancies with sound judgement.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the finance department.
• Report to and support an Australian security solutions provider catering to government organisations, body corporates, commercial businesses, property managers, and residential customers.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including substantial hands-on experience with Australian practices.
• Strong proficiency in using Xero.
• Experience in performing bank reconciliations, matching invoices, and processing payments.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management capabilities.
• Ability to manage a busy shared finance inbox while prioritizing competing tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to investigate issues before escalating.
• Sound judgement with the ability to identify potential risks or discrepancies.
• High integrity and professionalism when dealing with confidential financial information.
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Xero Advisor Certification or another relevant Xero certification (preferred skill).
• Experience with Simpro or similar job management software (preferred skill).
• Familiarity with Square or another point-of-sale/payment platform (preferred skill).
• Must be based in the Philippines.
• Must be available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Australian time.
