Supervising Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for individuals experiencing mild to moderate conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders.

• Prescribe medications in a responsible and ethical manner, adhering to measurement-based care practices.

• Perform follow-up assessments, manage prescriptions, and provide psychotherapy when clinically appropriate to enhance patient outcomes.

• Oversee and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and best practices.

• Review documentation and treatment plans to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.

• Assist APPs in navigating clinical crises in accordance with guidelines.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and enhance tools, workflows, and care models that improve psychiatric care.

• Aid in defining and implementing treatment guidelines and protocols that surpass industry benchmarks.

• Provide psychoeducation and psychotherapy as necessary to foster medication adherence and patient engagement.

• Partner with patients to establish goals that improve their mental health and overall quality of life.

• Work together with therapists, care coordinators, and other clinicians within a collaborative, interdisciplinary care framework.

• Engage in case reviews, clinical discussions, and organizational planning initiatives.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to optimize operational workflows and clinical decision-making support systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO).

• An active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in a state served by Two Chairs, or eligibility for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

• Experience in supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, etc.).

• Preferred: additional state licensure or a willingness to obtain further state licenses.

• Preferred: DEA registration or a willingness to acquire it with assistance from Two Chairs.

• Preferred: familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery.
