Supervising Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist Brave Health's expanding telehealth team in a supervisory capacity only.

• Concentrate solely on collaboration and supervision of Nurse Practitioners, without engaging in direct patient care.

• Offer clinical guidance and case consultations to Nurse Practitioners.

• Perform chart reviews and audits.

• Contribute to the development of internal practice standards.

• Work alongside Clinical Supervisors to guarantee high-quality and consistent care across virtual behavioral health programs.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO is required.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses is essential.

• Preference for licenses in Florida, Illinois, and/or New York.

• Board certification in Psychiatry is mandatory.

• Board certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry is an advantage.

• Familiarity with managed care, Medicaid, and private payers is necessary.

• Previous experience supervising or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners is beneficial.

• Experience in treating Child and Adolescent Mental Health issues is required.

• Prior experience with telehealth practices is preferred.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Must be capable of working without visa sponsorship; Brave Health cannot provide assistance with visas or work eligibility.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Additional language skills, especially in Spanish, are a plus.

• Willingness to operate within a collaborative team environment is expected.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to serving those in need are necessary.

• Ability to adapt to technology, including telehealth software, video communication, and EHRs.

• Responsiveness to texts, phone calls, and emails during business hours is required.

• Previous experience in a collaborative role with Nurse Practitioners is advantageous.

• Experience dealing with Addiction, SMI, SUD, and Dual Diagnosis is beneficial.

• Experience working with children and adolescent psychiatry patients is necessary.

• An active DEA is required.

• Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 is essential.
