Superannuation Operations Specialist – Incident, Remediation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the identification, evaluation, and management of incidents, breaches, and remedial actions.

• Collect information and assess incident evaluations.

• Analyze root causes and aid in evaluating impacts on members, the Fund, and financial outcomes.

• Support the review of remediation proposals.

• Monitor agreed-upon actions to ensure issues are documented and properly addressed.

• Collaborate with internal teams and service providers to pinpoint recurring problems, emerging risks, and opportunities to enhance controls and processes.

• Contribute to incident reporting and governance initiatives.

• Aid in delivering equitable, prompt, and well-documented remediation results for members.

• Engage with senior Fund Operations colleagues and both internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in superannuation, especially with Trustee obligations, including exposure to incidents, errors, breaches, remediation, or operational risk.

• Knowledge of how errors or process failures can impact members, financial outcomes, and Trustee responsibilities.

• Experience in investigating issues, collecting data, identifying root causes, and tracking corrective measures.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to interpret information, spot inconsistencies, and maintain precise and clear records.

• Comfortable collaborating with administrators, insurers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

• RG146 certification, or a willingness to undertake necessary training when required.

• Preferred qualifications: experience in supporting incident, breach, or remediation assessments; familiarity with superannuation legislation, APRA, or ASIC requirements; experience with risk registers, governance reporting, root cause analysis, or control enhancements.
