This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Assist the Trustee in managing superannuation claims.
• Aid in the evaluation, decision-making, and supervision of both insured and non-insured superannuation claims.
• Analyze claims data and render claim decisions within the limits of delegated authority.
• Ensure decisions are accurate, fair, consistent with fund regulations, Trustee responsibilities, and compliance standards.
• Detect issues that necessitate additional investigation or escalation.
• Help in managing intricate or contested claims.
• Collaborate with insurers and administrators to resolve issues and track follow-up actions.
• Contribute to claims reporting, oversight of service providers, quality assessments, and ongoing improvements.
• Recognize recurring problems, assist in governance reporting, and enhance claims processes and member experiences.
• Work in partnership with senior Operations team members, insurers, administrators, and internal stakeholders.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in superannuation administration, especially in claims administration, insurance operations, or enhancing member outcomes.
• Proven experience in managing or reviewing both insured and non-insured claims, including Death, TPD, Terminal Illness, or Income Protection claims.
• Proficient in reviewing claim data, identifying issues, following up with administrators or insurers, and escalating concerns as necessary.
• Knowledge of fund regulations, Trustee duties, accuracy, and fair outcomes for members.
• Ideally, experience within a superannuation Trustee office, or close collaboration with a Trustee or RSE licensee.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks, maintain precise records, and see matters through to resolution.
• Possession of RG146, or a commitment to pursue relevant training as required for the role.
