Summer Internship – Spend Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in achieving client savings, enhancing contract utilization, and improving supply chain performance metrics.

• Engage with clients and internal teams to facilitate the implementation, adoption, and ongoing use of Vizient solutions.

• Utilize problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and principles of continuous improvement to address challenges and meet client demands.

• Oversee analytics and client coordination efforts while monitoring performance indicators and progress on workplans.

• Identify and showcase opportunities for cost savings by leveraging Vizient tools and services, such as Supply Analytics and Impact Standardization.

• Examine intricate data sets to reveal potential product conversion opportunities.

• Collaborate with category managers and supplier partners on product cross-referencing, conversions, and trial implementations.

• Provide support to clients in the New York area regarding the implementation and evaluation of product conversions.

• Engage in formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and community service initiatives.

• Establish objectives, adhere to deadlines, and engage with senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in healthcare, finance, business administration, or supply chain.

• Must have completed the sophomore year as an undergraduate prior to the internship's commencement, or have recently obtained your degree.

• Fundamental understanding of hybrid work environments, workplace ethics, and effective communication practices.

• Strong organizational and planning capabilities.

• Demonstrated experience in project coordination, facilitation, and implementation through work or academic settings.

• Proficient in both oral and written communication.

• Ability to analyze and synthesize information for effective problem-solving.

• Capability to interpret complex data and present insights to key stakeholders.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with internal business partners, external members, and suppliers.

• Proficiency in Excel.
