SUD Nurse Practitioner – Future Hire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform health assessments to evaluate substance use, co-occurring disorders, and overall functioning.

• Identify health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications, manage ongoing treatment, monitor for side effects, and modify treatment as necessary.

• Work in conjunction with the Holon care team and external providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

• Act as a clinical consultant for complex or high-need cases.

• Provide education to clients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery support methods.

• Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to ethical, legal, and medical guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.

• Conduct telehealth assessments, medication management, and care coordination for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD).

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Missouri.

• Active DEA license (and CDS where applicable).

• Several years of experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or psychiatry.

• Background in addiction medicine or psychiatry is essential.

• Board certification in the relevant specialty is preferred.

• Strong skills in documentation and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Empathy towards individuals facing SUD and mental health issues.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within integrated and team-based care frameworks.

• Organizational skills and adaptability for navigating complex healthcare systems.

• Effective and confident virtual communication skills with clients and team members.

• Holding multiple and additional state licenses is advantageous.
