SUD Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Perform health assessments to evaluate substance use, co-occurring disorders, and overall well-being.

• Identify health issues and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Prescribe and oversee medications, monitor for side effects, and modify treatment as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with the Holon care team and external providers to ensure comprehensive, holistic care.

• Act as a clinical consultant for complex or high-need cases.

• Provide education to clients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery support strategies.

• Ensure precise and timely documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and medical standards.

• Engage in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.

• Deliver telehealth assessments, medication management, and care coordination for individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Michigan.

• Active DEA license (and CDS where applicable).

• Several years of experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or psychiatry.

• Background in addiction medicine or psychiatry is essential.

• Board certification in the relevant specialty is preferred.

• Excellent documentation capabilities.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Empathy towards individuals experiencing SUD and mental health challenges.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in integrated and team-oriented care settings.

• Organized, adaptable, and skilled at navigating complex systems.

• Strong and confident communication skills in a virtual environment.
