This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Deliver designated course content within an online setting.
• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, guidance, and support.
• Oversee the learning journey and tailor educational experiences for students.
• Track student progress via Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Collaborate closely with students and their parents/learning coaches to enhance learning towards set objectives.
• Differentiate educational approaches based on student proficiency.
• Enhance course material utilizing specified asynchronous and synchronous tools.
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic honesty.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators regarding any issues with student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for crucial standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting concerns.
• Travel as necessary, averaging once monthly and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student assessments, and school requirements.
• Adhere to supervisor directives and perform related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active teaching license from the state.
• Colorado Substitute Teaching Certification.
• Capability to pass the necessary background check.
• Ability to collaborate with fellow educators to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Open to receiving ongoing coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Capacity to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms.
• Capability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during working hours.
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Preference for Colorado residents.
• Desired experience with the specified age group, assisting adults and children with technology, online or in-person teaching, and online learning platforms.
