Substation Structural Training, Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality control (QC), perform quality audits, and provide project mentoring for substation projects.

• Prepare Quality Reports as part of the QC process.

• Analyze Quality Escapes and determine root causes of quality issues.

• Develop and enhance quality processes, checklists, tools, and guidelines specific to substations.

• Communicate training and quality initiatives across the department.

• Collaborate with department leadership to assess training requirements and enhance quality processes.

• Create and manage the training curriculum within Ulteig University.

• Participate in lessons learned sessions and update quality checklists accordingly.

• Organize and schedule lunch and learn sessions.

• Provide technical training assistance to clients.

• Evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Allocate approximately 60% of time to billable projects, including QC and quality audits, and 40% to training and quality initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

• Over 7 years of experience in substation structural design.

• Possession of a PE License is mandatory.

• Technical proficiency, ideally with subject matter expertise, in substation Structural Engineering.

• Enthusiasm and commitment to fostering growth in others.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Willingness to embrace innovation and utilize evolving technologies, including AI tools.

• Must possess permanent work authorization to work in the United States.
