This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Execute specific and limited segments of larger assignments under moderate supervision.

• Collect and correlate fundamental engineering data utilizing established procedures.

• Fulfill detailed or routine engineering tasks that involve calculations and relatively straightforward tests.

• Suggest methods to address new challenges.

• Detect discrepancies in results.

• Conduct work in accordance with agreed budgets and schedules.

• Design utility-scale physical substations for the power delivery sector.

• Collaborate on the electrical engineering components of substation design.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering along with 2 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Experience in high voltage substation design.

• EIT Certification.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.

• Possession of a professional engineering license or the ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire.

• Understanding of construction practices and constructability.

• Experience in proposal writing and project estimation.

• Familiarity with scheduling and project control processes.

• Awareness of substation industry and technology trends.

• Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC codes and standards.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to verify the quality of one’s own and others' work.

• Ability to exercise sound engineering judgment.

• Effective time management and workload organization skills.

• Must possess US employment authorization; sponsorship is not available.
