This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Diagnose and explain common plumbing issues found in residential settings.
• Offer insights into the underlying causes of slow drains, backups, water pressure issues, pipe failures, and other plumbing challenges.
• Provide estimated costs and timelines for repairs, including parts, labor, and necessary permits.
• Identify urgent plumbing problems, those that can be postponed, and potential past misdiagnoses.
• Clarify plumbing options based on the type of home, era of construction, and materials such as galvanized steel, copper, and PEX.
• Assist in the development of content, templates, and training materials for internal use.
• Engage with homeowners through Zoom meetings.
• Record short videos or clips as required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential plumbing.
• A plumbing license is preferred; however, candidates who can demonstrate extensive knowledge may still be considered.
• Experience with various plumbing systems, materials, and issues across different architectural eras.
• Understanding of common failure points and the typical lifespan of pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems.
• Familiarity with plumbing problems that have been misdiagnosed or inadequately repaired.
• Strong communication skills, both with homeowners and team members.
• Comfortable using Zoom for meetings.
• Willingness to be recorded occasionally.
• Familiarity with inspection-style reports is an advantage.
• Ability to convey technical findings in clear summaries or guidance is a plus.
• Interest in contributing to the development of homeowner decision-support tools is an advantage.
• Work remotely.
