Student Intern – Undergraduate Ministry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire foundational knowledge of college campus ministry.

• Actively participate and engage with the campus ministry team to establish spiritual vision and direction.

• Contribute to the plans of the campus ministry team aimed at fostering spiritual growth and transformation.

• Educate students on how to love, study, and apply Scripture in their daily lives.

• Advance the Mission on campus by identifying opportunities to proclaim and exemplify the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

• Learn to guide chapters or designated segments of chapters in strategic thinking regarding outreach to the university.

• Exemplify and assist students and faculty in developing a love for God's people across all ethnicities and cultures.

• Promote a lifestyle of prayer among students, particularly those who have not yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.

• Engage positively with supervision and training from the staff ministry trainer and/or director.

• Assist with reporting tasks as assigned.

• Serve as an ambassador for InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches through prayer, discussions about ministry efforts, mission, and achievements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year or community college.

• Second-year students and community college attendees may intern at a two-year/community college.

• Third-year students and above can work at a four-year or community college.

• Non-InterVarsity students attending a Christian college must be in their third or fourth year.

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ.

• Must annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.

• A growing passion for evangelism.

• Proven campus ministry leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication skills, professionalism, eagerness to learn, cross-cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity.
