Student Enrollment Coordinator – High School Study Abroad

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Increase student enrollment in CIEE's high school and recent graduate study abroad programs.

• Manage the applicant journey from initial interest to confirmed participation.

• Establish relationships with students and their families, guiding them to appropriate programs.

• Highlight CIEE Global Navigator programs, which include High School Summer Abroad, Custom School Trips, High School Semester Abroad, Gap Year Abroad, and First Year Abroad.

• Communicate the benefits and outcomes of studying abroad to U.S. high school students and their legal guardians.

• Engage leads and applicants through outreach via phone, text, and email.

• Make between 20 and 60 calls per day, depending on the season.

• Inspire and mentor participants and their families through scholarship and application processes.

• Assist families in overcoming obstacles to studying abroad.

• Provide customer service throughout the application, acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure phases.

• Conduct virtual webinars for students and parents, which may include some evening hours.

• Present at high schools and fairs within the territory, including domestic travel.

• Evaluate applications, accept candidates, and convert them into enrolled participants.

• Ensure participant financial accounts are accurate and fully paid; follow up on any discrepancies or missing payments.

• Utilize Salesforce reports to manage the applicant pipeline and achieve sales targets.

• Maintain precise records of customer communications in Salesforce.

• Provide continuous support for participants throughout their programs.

• Engage in sales training to enhance sales skills.

• Offer emergency support during 1 to 2 travel weekends each year.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or its international equivalent.

• At least two years of experience in customer service or sales.

• Capability to handle challenging conversations effectively.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand and adapt communication for various audiences.

• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous.

• Experience with international travel or study abroad is a plus.

• Background in working with diverse high school students is beneficial.

• Willingness to work some evening hours.

• Availability to provide emergency support during 1 to 2 travel weekends per year.

• Completion of background checks, reference checks, and verification of education and employment required as a condition of employment.

• Candidates must reside in the NYC Boroughs, Westchester, Connecticut, or Long Island.
