Student Enrollment Coordinator – High School Study Abroad

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Increase student enrollment in CIEE's high school and recent graduate study abroad programs.

• Manage the applicant journey from initial interest to confirmed participation.

• Assist students and their families with program selection, scholarships, applications, acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure preparations.

• Perform sales outreach through phone, text, and email communications.

• Make 20-60 calls daily, depending on the time of year.

• Inspire and coach participants and their families during the scholarship and application processes.

• Aid families in overcoming challenges related to high school study abroad.

• Deliver prompt customer service throughout the application process.

• Conduct virtual webinars for students and parents, including some evening sessions.

• Present information to students and parents at high schools and fairs within the assigned region.

• Travel domestically for in-person presentations.

• Review applications, accept applicants, and convert them into paid participants.

• Ensure participant financial accounts are accurate and fully paid; follow up on any discrepancies and missing payments.

• Utilize Salesforce reports to manage the applicant pipeline and meet sales targets.

• Keep precise customer communication records in Salesforce.

• Provide year-round support for program participants.

• Engage in ongoing sales training and professional development.

• Offer emergency support during 1-2 travel weekends each year.

• Potentially chaperone student group flights internationally up to once a year.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an international equivalent.

• At least two years of customer service or sales experience.

• Capability to navigate challenging conversations effectively.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Willingness to work some evening hours.

• Ability to provide emergency support during 1-2 travel weekends annually.

• Background check, reference check, and verification of education and employment as conditions of employment.

• Experience with international travel or study abroad is a plus.

• Experience working with diverse high school students is an advantage.

• Additional language skills beyond English are beneficial.
