Structural Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and evaluation of structural systems across various market sectors.

• Manage structural engineering projects and teams, ensuring that deliverables adhere to compliance, client specifications, QA/QC standards, budgets, and timelines.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and project partners throughout the design and construction phases.

• Prepare and assess engineering analyses, design calculations, and construction documents.

• Oversee the drafting and review process of BIM and AutoCAD plans.

• Develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

• Participate in the preparation of proposals and responses to RFIs.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers through technical support, coaching, and quality assessments.

• Conduct facility analyses, site evaluations, and moderate design tasks for diverse structural systems and materials.

• Utilize Revit, RISA, and ETABS for design and documentation purposes.

• Foster client relationships and assist in enhancing Bennett & Pless’ presence across Florida.

• Report to and work closely with the Florida team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related discipline.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Over 8 years of experience in structural engineering.

• Proven experience in managing structural engineering projects and leading project teams.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to establish strong relationships with clients and team members.

• Proficiency in Revit and structural analysis/modeling software utilized in building-structure design.

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.

• Experience with masonry, wind design, wood design, and/or other specialized structural systems is preferred.
