This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute technical tasks on designated structural engineering projects, encompassing technical analyses, investigations, and designs.

• Design and create drawings for structural systems, addressing gravity and lateral loads, foundations, and framing layouts.

• Calculate the dimensions and positioning of structural members and components.

• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and other disciplines to coordinate designs.

• Conduct quality control assessments of structural drawings.

• Draft and revise specifications for structural systems.

• Participate in meetings with owners, clients, and architects; prepare and distribute meeting notes accordingly.

• Engage with local authorities and municipalities to ensure adherence to standards.

• Work alongside suppliers, contractors, clients, and client representatives to define the project scope.

• Conduct engineering studies and design analyses.

• Guide and mentor Structural Designers.

• Perform site surveys to assess existing facility conditions.

• Execute construction site visits to observe progress and ensure compliance with specifications, expectations, and codes.

• Create punch lists and project observation reports.

• Draft Proposal Requests and Supplemental Instructions; respond to Requests for Information.

• Review project submittals and determine their approval or rejection based on compliance.

• Assist the project manager with budgets, cost estimates, schedules, contracts, and billing.

• Contribute to quality assurance assessments across all disciplines.

• Address complex issues and perform work with considerable autonomy.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by Company Leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Structural Emphasis.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.

• 6-8 years of experience in Structural Engineering as a licensed Professional Engineer.

• Capability to design buildings exceeding 10 stories.

• Proficient in designing steel, wood, and concrete framing systems.

• Skilled in designing masonry load-bearing walls.

• Experience in designing complex foundation systems.

• Ability to design special moment frames.

• Knowledge in designing seismic wind load systems.

• Proficient in designing masonry and concrete shear walls.

• Over 5 years of experience with AutoDesk Revit BIM Software.

• Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time to job sites/office locations.

• Capability to sit, stand, kneel, climb stairs, and work at a computer for extended periods.

• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
