This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a discipline engineer or a project engineer overseeing overall project operations.
• Organize, schedule, manage, and/or coordinate the detailed phases of assigned project tasks.
• Provide design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications concerning foundation and structural steel design.
• Implement standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Create plans, specifications, and observation reports.
• Apply efficiency engineering principles in design selection.
• Suggest design changes to enhance quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineering technicians and seasoned engineers.
• Operate in either the office or field as required.
• Address design challenges, including conducting field investigations or observations.
• Review design computations performed by others.
• Coordinate particular design elements of projects.
• Execute detailed engineering design and evaluations within the area of expertise.
• Innovate new approaches and solutions to engineering problems.
• Draft reports and correspondence related to assigned projects.
• Engage in marketing, sales, and business development efforts within the designated market.
• Communicate and interact effectively with clients.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multidisciplinary initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) registration is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical utility substation layout and design is preferred.
• Proficient understanding of structural steel, drilled pier, and spread footing design and detailing is required.
• Experience with MathCAD, STAAD or equivalent, foundation design programs, and/or other structural modeling software is preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC and ACI is required; familiarity with ASCE and NESC is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to embrace innovation and leverage evolving technology and AI tools.
