This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a discipline engineer or project engineer overseeing overall project initiatives.
• Organize, schedule, and facilitate detailed phases of the assigned project tasks.
• Provide design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for foundation and structural steel designs.
• Implement standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria effectively.
• Create plans, specifications, and observation reports as necessary.
• Incorporate efficiency engineering principles in design selection processes.
• Suggest design modifications to enhance quality outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering technicians, seasoned engineers, and other disciplines.
• Conduct field investigations or observations to address design challenges.
• Review design computations completed by colleagues for accuracy.
• Coordinate specific design elements of various projects.
• Execute detailed engineering design and evaluations within your area of expertise.
• Develop innovative approaches and solutions for encountered issues.
• Draft reports and correspondence related to assigned projects.
• Engage in marketing, sales, and business development efforts within the designated market.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their requirements are fulfilled.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) registration is mandatory.
• A minimum of 4+ years of engineering experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical utility substation layout and design is preferred.
• A solid understanding of structural steel, drilled pier, and spread footing design and detailing is essential.
• Experience with MathCAD, STAAD or equivalent, foundation design programs, and/or other structural modeling software is preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC and ACI standards is required; ASCE and NESC knowledge is preferred.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• A willingness to embrace innovation and apply evolving technologies and AI tools is essential.
