Structural Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.

📋 Description

• Create accurate engineering calculations, load path layouts, and construction drawings for both residential and commercial building projects.

• Conduct structural calculations for gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems.

• Design wood-frame assemblies such as shear walls, joists, and beams.

• Develop reinforced concrete components including foundations, slabs, and columns.

• Produce comprehensive structural plans, sections, and framing details utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project leads to guarantee constructability.

• Ensure adherence to IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS building codes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• 2 to 5+ years of structural design experience with a demonstrated history in wood and concrete.

• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software such as Enercalc, RISA, WoodWorks, or RAM.

• EIT preferred; SE/PE track is an advantage.

• Exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.

• Professional demeanor and ethical conduct.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Analytical skills for resolving complex challenges.

• Ability to comply with building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS.

• Must be comfortable using Hubstaff time tracking software.

• Personal computer with internet access is required.

• Submission of work samples or portfolio in PDF format is required.
