This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee swimming pool, spa, water feature, and aquatic design initiatives from the design phase through permitting and construction coordination.
• Create and evaluate comprehensive AutoCAD construction drawings, including details, plumbing, hydraulic systems, and associated components.
• Examine and align architectural, structural, civil, landscape, and MEP drawings to pinpoint and resolve design conflicts.
• Formulate and assess plumbing, hydraulic, and equipment layouts for feasibility and system performance.
• Analyze and implement relevant zoning regulations, building codes, pool codes, and construction standards.
• Facilitate client and design coordination meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Verify drawings for precision, feasibility, code compliance, and alignment with company standards prior to distribution.
• Guide and mentor the drafting team while upholding company CAD and Revit standards, templates, and best practices, with the potential to assume additional management duties as the department expands.
• Oversee project timelines, drafting workloads, priorities, and resource distribution to ensure deadlines and project quality are met.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong grasp of construction drawing standards.
• Direct professional experience in the design of swimming pools, spas, water features, or similar aquatic systems is essential.
• Revit experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of concrete construction, reinforcing steel detailing, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with pool hydraulics, plumbing, equipment layouts, and related aquatic systems.
• Capability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, landscape, and MEP drawings.
• Working knowledge of zoning regulations, building codes, pool codes, and permitting processes.
• Ability to independently handle multiple projects with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Excellent client communication skills and proficiency in leading design and coordination meetings.
• Strong attention to detail, with the capacity to review drawings for quality, accuracy, and feasibility.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities, with a knack for mentoring staff and fostering the growth of the design team.
