Strategic Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute indirect commodity sourcing RFPs for local, regional, and national projects encompassing up to 30,000 sites.

• Manage extensive data sets related to procurement and auditing, ensuring precision in equipment inventory descriptions and pricing.

• Cultivate supplier relationships by overseeing negotiations, contract management, and resolving operational issues.

• Assist the Sourcing Manager in communication, coordination, and implementation of indirect sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.

• Ensure that contractual terms adhere to the MSA and collaborate with Legal and Risk Management for formal review and approval.

• Supervise the maintenance and improvement of the central sourcing access database.

• Enhance data analytics and support informed decision-making through precise sourcing data.

• Identify and convey opportunities to optimize indirect sourcing processes.

• Contribute to the achievement of account KPIs, goals, and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• College degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of relevant sourcing or procurement experience.

• Proven experience in executing high-volume sourcing with over 3,000 transactions annually.

• Background in managing short-cycle RFP activities with turnaround times ranging from 1 to 14 days.

• Understanding of USPS Procurement Policy or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

• Experience in sourcing both hard and soft services, including Landscaping & Snow Removal, Fire Life Safety, and Elevators.

• Familiarity with federal or government procurement processes and compliance requirements.

• Experience in managing transition plans for new suppliers alongside operations teams.

• Proficient in utilizing supplier scorecards, conducting performance review meetings, and performing contract compliance audits.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Competence in Access, data management, and analytical tools such as Smartsheets, Tableau, and SQL.

• Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, supplier performance management, and contract compliance standards.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Capability to manage large data volumes and conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses.

• Ability to maintain data integrity across sourcing databases.

• Capacity to thrive in a decentralized, remote work environment with limited field representation.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
