BU Procurement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of sourcing strategies across designated sites and categories.

• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that align with BD’s strategic roadmap and category goals.

• Direct procurement initiatives across various sites.

• Provide near-, mid-, and long-term value across the Dispensing supply base.

• Facilitate cost savings, create non-price value, manage inflation and price movements, and uphold standard cost integrity.

• Develop long-term plans that support organizational objectives.

• Discover cost-saving opportunities through supply chain optimization, Kaizen events, and design-to-value projects.

• Enhance supplier partnerships to boost performance, supply chain efficiency, resilience, innovation, and cost optimization.

• Manage supplier qualification processes and minimize supplier risks.

• Optimize source-to-pay workflows and ensure compliance of regional suppliers.

• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

• Foster and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to support strategic procurement objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

• Experience in manufacturing or healthcare is preferred.

• Strong grasp of category strategies.

• Demonstrated negotiation skills.

• Ability to develop a pipeline of cost-saving opportunities.

• Analytical skills to evaluate market trends and supplier capabilities.

• Critical and creative thinking in complex scenarios.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities at once.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with senior management and key stakeholders.
